Jeff Bell / Co-Founder

Jeff is an author, radio news anchor, and motivational speaker. His first book,
Rewind, Replay, Repeat: A Memoir of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Hazelden), recounts his long-secret battles with severe OCD and the elaborate double-life the disorder forced him to lead—as a successful news anchor secretly consumed by endless checking, washing, and other rituals—before getting the CBT help that he needed. His newly-published book, When in Doubt, Make Belief (New World Library; Sept. '09) explores the life lessons that OCD and its treatment have to offer and the "Your Greater Good" motivational framework he developed.  Jeff is actively involved with the International OCD Foundation--for which he serves as a board member and national spokesperson--and Mental Health America's realLIVES campaign--for which he also serves as National Spokesperson.  He is a 2007 recipient of MHA's prestigious forWARDS Award for "moving the cause of mental health forward."  Jeff can be heard weekday afternoons on KCBS Radio (740 AM) in San Francisco can across Northern California.
